Rules Have Been Bought

First ever rule book

The first ever rule book for football has been sold at auction for nearly £200'000. The rule book belonged to the first ever football club- Sheffield FC.

Some of the rules in the handbook still exist such as diresct and indirect free kicks and the use of the cross bar. There are also rules such as that you are alowed to push with your hands but you must not trip or hack others under any circumstances.
