King Makes First Signings

Nic Ciardini
Today Lewes FC started their journey to rebuilding a side in the ryman Premier by King making his first four player signings, all coming from his former squad Farnborough.

The first of the signings to be announced was Nic Cardini, he can play at left back or in left midfield. Nic has been at Farnborough for 12 years having come through the youth system there. He will join up with King at Lewes after being unable to go full time at Farnborough who are believed to have wanted to keep him.

Steve Robinson
The next signing was Steve Robinson. Robbo is well known to Lewes fans having captained the team to the conference south title in 2008 under Steve King. Since King left Lewes Robbo followed him to Farnborough where he won the ryman Premier with him. He was aa key part of the Farnborough squad last season as they finished runners up in the conference south before losing a play off final to Ebbsfleet. Robbo is a tough centre back and will be welcomed back by Lewes fans.

Gary Holloway
Another ex-rook returning is Gary Holloway. A midfielder who was also part of Kings team to lift the conference south title in 2008 . Holloway joined Havant after Lewes due to the amount of money they had after drawing Liverpool in the FA cup they signed numerous Lewes players and Holloway was one of them. Gary then joined up with King at Farnborough where he won the ryman premier and was a key player for them in the heart of midfield last year. So much so that Holloway attracted a lot of attention from Woking FC who are thought to be putting in a big promotion push this season having already signed Farnborough midfielder Jack King.
Paul Booth

The final signing is Lewes legend Paul Booth. Booth finished as the conference South top scorer during the conference south winning year for Lewes before leaving along with Holloway to sign for Havant. Again Booth joined up with the rest of the lads at Farnborough where he also won the Ryman Premier.

It is also thought that Farnborough goalkeeper Stuart Robinson will sign for Lewes within the next few days at most.
