Wheeler Linked To Crawley

Lewes's young hot prospect and key player, David Wheeler has been linked with free spending Crawley Town.

Wheeler made his debut for Lewes in their Conference South winning season in 2008 in the 3-0 win against Weston Super Mare. However it was Kevin Keehan who gave Wheeler his full debut in the Conference Premier. wheeler was a product of Lewes's succesful youth system and is now a first team key player.

He rejected offers from Farnborough and Eastbourne at the beggining of last season. And that Farnborough manager Steve King, long term admirer of Wheeler is now at Lewes and has offered Wheeler a new deal which he wants him to sign. However it has now emmerged that Crawley Town, who have just been promoted to the football league, are interested in signing the Lewes youngster which is why it has taken a while for him to sign any sort of deal.
